As many of you know I am a work from home mama.
I love sharing my life with you guys. Not because I think I'm all that but because I believe that when I am open with you about my truth it helps someone out there somewhere with something. Whether you relate to it and don't feel so alone, or you need to hear how someone else handled something so you can in the future. I don't entirely know how it helps I just know in my heart of hearts that it does.
So this is for those of you mama's that are curious about leaving your full time job and pursing your business full time from home.
I am here to be open and honest about it. All of it. Not just the Instagram perfect worthy moments, but all the good, bad, and crazy moments that happen when you work from home.
**Also I want to state that in no way am I trying to sway your opinion one way or the other on being a work from home mama. Personally I love it. I wouldn't change what I do no matter how stressful it can be. The truth is that no matter what lifestyle we live there will always be stress and if we let it, the grass can seem greener on the other side. However this lifestyle is not for everyone.
When most people think about what it would be like to be a work from home mom they imagine not waking up and going to work. They imagine sleeping in, leisure, and staying in bed whenever they feel like it.

However, this is very rare. Especially if you have young kids that aren't in school yet.
My son wakes up at 7 am like clock work.
Which means I either wake up with him, or I wake up earlier to get a workout in before he wakes up.
There are days where I would love to sleep in until noon and wake up to a glass of champagne in my hand. This is something one of my friends actually thought work from home mom life looked like. But in all reality, you are adding one more thing, entrepreneur, to an already busy stay at home mom schedule.

So you can imagine it will look like this....
But unless your kids are pouring your champagne and getting themselves up and ready, I doubt it ever will.
Another thing that I would like to touch on, is so many other stay at home moms come to me and think that if you work from home you never get anything done. While this can very well be true somedays.
Not lying here remember.
My son has days where he is fussy. But he also has days where he is sleepy, and tired, and hungry, and completely happy and wants to play with our dog.
If you want to get stuff done when you work from home it does take a little more patience then if you were at an office or outside location. But if it is important to you, I PROMISE you will find a way to get it done.
Schedule in things during nap time. Wake up earlier then your kiddos. Go to bed later. Get them on a schedule with food, nap, and play. That way you can create your schedule around this.
You are not neglecting you little ones if you want to get work done. You are managing both areas of your life.
Do you have as many hours in a day to focus on work as someone else in your field who works from home but doesn't have a baby?
Probably not.
But does that mean that it's not worth it?
Definitely not!
We can get a lot done throughout the day as work from home mamas.
Now let's talk clothing benefits.
One of my favorite quotes that I have ever heard about being a work from home mom is
"How do I make $100,000+ if I just watch my kids play all day? I don't wear a bra!"
I can't think of who said it, but it was on a podcast I was listening to and I lost it laughing.
You can do anything you want to as a work from home mama.

Make 6 figures.
Make 7 figures.
Work in your Pj's.
Work in no bra.
Work in bed.
Work at a desk.
Work outside.
Take the night off.
Don't work after 2pm.
However you want to show up and live your life is how you do it.
You are the one responsible for your income now.
There is no boss telling you when you have to show up or what you have to wear.
If you want to call in sick, your work will still be there for you when you feel better, or you could choose to work while you are sick.
It is your decision.
I guess the main thing that it comes to when you are trying to decide if this life is for you.
Ask yourself if you are happy doing what you currently do. Whether you work outside of the home or you are a stay at home mama, are you happy?
If the answer is NO, then you need to find a way to be happy.
Maybe that is being a work from home mama.
It was for me. It is something that I look back on and I think about how never in a million years did I think that this would be my life, but I am so honored and grateful that it is.
What we are capable of is amazing. We hold ourselves back out of fear and allow our limiting beliefs to creep in. But the truth is WE ARE POWERFUL.
I mean we birthed humans for crying out loud.
You grew a baby.
Why couldn't you grow a business?
It is a piece of cake compared to what we do as moms. It's just a matter of are you willing to put faith in yourself and discipline yourself to be the best work from home mom that you can be?
I hope this helped you figure out what the work from home mom life really looks like and if it is for you.
Much love. I hope you have a high vibe rest of your day.
